Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports is reporting the Kansas City Royals have signed Noel Arguelles, a 19-year-old left-hander who last year defected from Cuba.
The deal is for 5 years and $7 million, with an extra $2 million in potential bonuses. The Royals were one of six teams that were after Arguelles’ services.
