Nats Sign Bruntlett, Whitesell to Minor League Deals

The Nationals announced via a team press release that they’ve signed first baseman Josh Whitesell and infielder/outfielder Eric Bruntlett to minor league contracts for 2010.

The deals also include invitations to Spring Training. Whitesell, 27, batted .194/.346/.287 in 46 games with the Diamondbacks this past season, while Bruntlett hit .171/.224/.238 in 72 games with the Phillies.
