Tom Haudricourt of the Journal Sentinel takes a look at how the Brewers will look to bolster the team’s pitching.
The team declined arbitration to five of its own free agents in order to free up nearly $27 million for a run at two pitchers, which may include names like Doug Davis, Randy Wolf, Jarrod Washburn, Carl Pavano and Rich Harden. The team may also try to find takers for one of its own pitchers, Jeff Suppan who has been a terrible pickup for the most part. He is due $12.5 million in his last season of his deal. The team may be forced to eat a decent portion of that deal.
