The Blue Jays took care of their catching situation just moments ago.
Jayson Stark of ESPN.com is reporting the Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to terms with free-agent catcher John Buck on a one-year, $2 million deal, pending a physical. He will likely be the Jays starting catcher on opening day, barring any other big-name signing.
Also, the Jays have signed free agent outfielder Joey Gathright to a minor league deal and the team is also bringing back catcher Raul Chavez, according to MLB.com’s Jordan Bastian.
