Ted Keith of SI.com runs down who he feels are the ten riskiest free agents available this winter.
Let’s take a look at some of them.
1. Rich Harden – We agree and have said he can be this year’s Oliver Perez.
2. Carlos Delgado – If it’s more than a $4-$5 million guaranteed deal, we tend to agree. Otherwise an incentive-laden deal would not scare us away.
3. Jason Varitek – Not sure there is that much excitement to include him in this list?
4. Orlando Hudson – He just seems to not fit in perfectly where he goes. Not sure why, but that may qualify him on that basis.
5. Joe Crede – He is becoming a better version of Scott Rolen than Scott Rolen, with the nagging injuries. We totally agree.
