According to a team press release, the Pirates have signed starter/reliever Wilfredo Ledezma to a minor league contract.
Ledezma, 28, also received a spring training invite from the team. Ledezma appeared in five games for the Nationals early in the 2009 season, posting a 9.53 ERA in 5.2 innings, before being designated for assignment.
In 160 career major league appearances, including 40 starts, Ledezma is 15-22 with a 5.17 ERA in 370.2 innings.
