Lots of buzz in Mets land about getting a shot at signing Randy Wolf this fall.
They passed on him last winter, when all it would have taken was a 1-year deal. Similar to Bobby Abreu, Wolf signed for about $5 million with the Dodgers last fall, as the Mets and other teams passed on the lefty. We believe Wolf will likely command a deal similar to what Abreu just signed for today, in the $9-$10 million per year range. Wolf reminds us of a Bobby Ojeda at this point of his career. He was a lefty that Met fans have good memories of.
