Jon Heyman is tweeting that the Blue Jays are looking at key prospects from the Red Sox and Yankees.
We have heard several rumors on Roy Halladay this week already. The biggest one had a deal for Halladay involving pitcher Clay Buchholz, the organization’s top young pitcher, as well as Casey Kelly, the pitcher/shortstop who signed with the Red Sox in 2008. Heyman is hearing the Jays are looking at catching prospect Jesus Montero plus a choice of pitchers Joba Chamberlain or Phil Hughes.
It would appear the Yankees may need to raise their offer a bit to jump ahead of the Red Sox for a shot to land Halladay.
