According to Jon Heyman of SI.com, the San Francisco Giants are showing some interest in Johnny Damon after the team recently told Randy Winn he will not be back.
The Yankees are leaning toward a 1 year offer, but would likely go 1 year plus an option, at a minimum. They are also thinking about a $10m per number. Scott Boras, Damon’s agent, is likely looking for a 3 year/$40 million deal to get Damon signed quickly.
