ESPN’s Peter Gammons and Gordon Edes break down the key offseason decisions facing the Red Sox.

Both seem to agree that Jason Bay will likely remain in Boston. The team will likely decide between bring back shortstop Alex Gonzalez at a reduced rate or seeing if they can snag Marco Scutaro for a year, until their phenom shortstop Jose Iglesias should be ready.

If I were Theo Epstein, I would also push on a deal for either Roy Halladay or Adrian Gonzalez as I believe these two players can bring them back on par with the Yankees in the AL East as well.

Read what else the Red Sox will be considering in the offseason here.
