Tim Dierkes of MLBTradeRumors.com has posted the latest Elias Rankings for Type “A” free agents.
There are 21 Type A free agents that may potentially be offered arbitration by their clubs on Tuesday. Because of where they finished with their overall records, only 15 clubs can lose their 2010 first-round pick if they sign such a Type A free agent: the Rays, Mariners, Tigers, Braves, Twins, Rangers, Marlins, Giants, Cardinals, Rockies, Phillies, Dodgers, Red Sox, Angels, and Yankees. The other 15 teams would lose their second-round pick.
It is not surprise to see Matt Holliday at the top of the list. See what happens if one team signs multiple Type As, and how that affects compensation here.
