Mark Bowman of MLB.com is reporting that the Atlanta Braves may be looking to trade either Javier Vazquez or Derek Lowe.
Early indications are that the Yankees or Angels might be willing to deal for Lowe, if they do not sign John Lackey. Lowe’s contract calls for him to make $45 million over the next 3 years. There are not a lot of teams that can afford this type of contract, but the Braves are looking to free up capital to shore up needs at first base, closer and outfielder.
