Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com reviews some of the Houston Astros key prospects they have down on the farm.

Winning is by no means the only, or even best, way to measure success in the Minors, but Houston’s clubs did combine for the lowest winning percentage in baseball at .426. The organization is aware it has a long way to go with a system that has long had a reputation for being fairly bereft of talent.

The lack of a strong farm system has handcuffed the organization from a trading standpoint, and has forced them to get better via free agency, which has not been a good game plan the last few years.
